Diversity Equity and Inclusivity (DEI) Policy

Hydras Ultimate is committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusivity in all aspects of our program. We recognize that creating an inclusive environment requires active effort, and we are committed to taking the necessary steps to ensure that all of our team members feel valued and supported. To achieve this goal, we have established the following Diversity Equity and Inclusivity (DEI) policy:

  1. Diversity: We believe that diversity is one of our greatest strengths. The Hydras Ultimate program welcomes and celebrates team members of all races, ethnicities, genders, gender identities, sexual orientations, religions, abilities, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

  2. Equity: Hydras believes that all team members deserve fair and equal treatment. We will strive to eliminate barriers to participation and to ensure that all teammates have access to the resources they need to succeed.

  3. Inclusivity: Hydras believes that every player should feel welcome and included on our sports teams. We will work to create a culture of respect and acceptance, where everyone feels comfortable being themselves.

  4. Non-Discrimination: We do not discriminate against any team member on the basis of their race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, ability, or socioeconomic status. All players who meet the eligibility requirements are welcome to join our teams.

  5. Accessibility: We are committed to providing accessible facilities and equipment to accommodate the needs of all team members. If a player requires accommodations, we will work with them to find appropriate solutions.

  6. Training and Education: To ensure a supportive and inclusive environment, we will have at least one team representative with DEI training present at all Hydras team events. This trained adult will help foster an atmosphere of diversity and inclusion, promote respectful behavior, and address any concerns related to DEI issues. Our goal is to provide our team members with the resources and support needed to thrive in an inclusive sports environment.

  7. Feedback and Continuous Improvement: Hydras Ultimate invites our players and their families to share feedback with us to help us continually improve our programs and ensure that we are meeting their needs.

We are committed to upholding this Diversity Equity and Inclusivity policy and creating a safe and welcoming environment for all of our team members. We believe that by promoting diversity, equity, and inclusivity, we can create a positive and enriching experience for everyone involved in our sports programs.
